Job Description

Responsible for assessing patients, developing and updating care plans, and delivering safe, therapeutic nursing care to diverse patient populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups.

• Provides supervision and guidance to LVN/LPNs, nursing assistants, and other staff; may serve as charge nurse.
  
  
• Evaluates patient responses, monitors progress, and revises care plans accordingly.
  
  
• Educates patients and families, acts as a role model, and precepts new staff and students.
  
  
• Ensures effective communication, maintains patient confidentiality, and reports safety concerns.
  
  
• Utilizes critical thinking within the nursing process, manages patient flow, and oversees unit operations.
  
  
• Adheres to safety standards, complies with healthcare regulations, and documents accurately.
  
  
• Requires a BSN (preferred), RN licensure, BLS certification, and 6 months to 1 year of experience.]]>
