Guidelines for Clinical Tech Seasonal Staffing
RN Ortho/Trauma Seasonal
48/HR -PRN
Program runs from August 25, 2024 to April 5, 2025
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
·All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
·Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
·Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.
·During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).
·Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.
·Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.
·Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND, D2/ECD, and D3/EVD)
·Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
· Current FT/PT & PRN Level 3 employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2023-2024 with the exception of RNs that participated in the Seasonal program in the previous year.
·Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program.Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department

As a Registered Nurse in our Clinical Decision Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

Medical City Arlington is a 435+ bed full-service hospital located in south Arlington. Our services include heart & vascular, brain & spine, emergency and trauma care. We have cancer care, orthopedics, surgical and women's services for our patients. Our women’s complex has combined clinical excellence with thoughtful amenities including luxury maternity suites and personalized delivery methods. Our culture is what sets us apart.
