Our client's front-end engineers design user experiences across a wide variety of devices, including set top boxes, tablets and phones. The company is hiring inventive and adaptable web application developers with Javascript, HTML 5 and CSS 3 skills. The ideal candidate will have experience writing cutting-edge, dynamic Javascript-based applications.
We're especially interested in your abilities with some or most of the following:
Implement and enhance the frontend design and user experience from end-to-end
Work well across functions to create and execute the best product
Assist in the planning of new features
Work in an Agile environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
Superior knowledge of JavaScript and supporting libraries with multiple years of experience in Javascript application development
8+ years of Javascript development experience
Deep understanding of HTML 5 and CSS 3 and their capabilities
Experience writing dynamic web applications that use AJAX techniques
Extensive use of JSON or other data-interchange formats
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
Self-motivated, self directed, detail-oriented and organized
Having technically mentored and led small teams
Solid coding practices including peer code reviews and unit testing
Experience in agile development
Additional Skills
These additional skills are not essential, but would be of additional value:
Experience writing server-side APIs, especially in Node.js
Familiarity with and understanding of one or more of the following: Angular.js, Backbone.js, Ember.js
Knowledge of MongoDB

REST, web services
Experience with source control software (GIT, SVN)
Experience working with Jira issue tracking tool
Experience writing software for an embedded environment
Experience using and creating vector-based artwork
Artistic talent and design sense
Education / Certification
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
