Overview: Mistral Group is in search of a Manufacturing Painter specializes in applying paint, protective coatings, and finishes, products, or parts within our facility in Nottingham, MD. This role requires a focus on precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation:
   • Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting by removing rust, grease, and dirt.
   • Mask and cover areas not to be painted, ensuring precise application.
   • Mix and match paint colors to specifications using tools and equipment.
2. Painting and Coating:
   • Apply paint, varnishes, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
   • Ensure even coverage and high-quality finish, checking for drips, streaks, or other imperfections.
   • Monitor drying and curing processes, adjusting conditions as needed.
3. Inspection and Quality Control:
   • Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces to confirm adherence to standards.
   • Rectify any defects or irregularities in the finish.
4. Equipment Maintenance:
   • Maintain and clean painting equipment and spray booths regularly.
   • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on tools and machinery.
5. Safety and Compliance:
   • Follow safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
   • Comply with environmental regulations related to paint disposal and ventilation systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Experience in automotive or industrial painting preferred.
• Familiarity with painting equipment, materials, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina.
• Knowledge of color mixing and matching.
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulations.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and noise; proper PPE is required.
• May involve standing for extended periods and handling heavy equipment.
