Assistant Herdsperson Position available on 250 cow dairy farm in South Central Wisconsin. MUST have previous experience in all aspects of a dairy farm as will help run the day to day operation when owner is absent. Responsibilities include taking care of herd health including daily fresh cow checks and administering medication. Will also be responsible for OB duties, IV, cleaning barns, milking, feeding cows and young stock, record keeping and detecting cows in heat. MUST be able to operate skid load, tractor powered mobile TMR box, liquid manure spreaders, as well as other tasks as needed. Please provide at least one work related reference and information on any additional training in dairy science. Good pay and housing allowance for the right person.
