Job Description: As a Barber at Kai's Hair Salon, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional grooming services to our diverse clientele. You will utilize your expertise in hair cutting, styling, and shaving techniques to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction. You should be skilled in traditional and modern barbering techniques, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for staying updated on the latest trends in men's grooming.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide professional haircuts, shaves, trims, and other barbering services for clients, following client preferences and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are clean, sanitized, and in good working condition.
• Perform facial hair grooming services including beard trims, beard sculpting, and straight razor shaves.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to salon cleanliness standards.
• Consult with clients about their desired hairstyle or grooming preferences, offering professional advice and recommendations.
• Stay updated on current trends in barbering, haircuts, beard styles, and other grooming techniques.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and client satisfaction.
• Provide exceptional customer service, offering a friendly, welcoming, and professional atmosphere.
• Promote and sell salon products such as hair care and beard grooming products to clients.
• Collaborate with other salon team members to ensure a smooth operation and high-quality customer experience.
• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including sanitation and hygiene practices.
• Assist with any other duties related to the smooth operation of the salon and barbershop as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Barber, with a portfolio of work to showcase skills and expertise.
• Valid Barber's License (in accordance with state/provincial regulations).
• Strong proficiency in a variety of cutting techniques, including fades, scissor cuts, clipper cuts, and straight razor shaves.
• Ability to work with different hair textures and styles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for the barbering craft.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with sales and product recommendations is a plus.
